Fractional flow reserve (FFR) values are extremely valuable in determining the true impact of an intravascular obstruction, making them an evermore relevant technique in interventional cardiology settings. Despite its usefulness, acquiring those values is not a trivial task. Predict FFR is an application that allows you to predict FFR values using data from computed tomography images, making it easier for the interventionist to quickly estimate the true hemodynamic impact of a lesion on the bedside.
Predict FFR uses an algorithm previously validated and published in a recognized, peer-reviewed journal. Our technique has been featured as an review article in the JAMA Cardiology Journal under the DOI of 10.1001/jamacardio.2017.1314. Refer to this link for more information.
Using the Predict FFR is very simple.
1. Download the application to your iOS device
2. Select the imaging modality you are using (currently CT is the only supported modality)
3. Select the metric you are using (currently CT-FFR is the only supported metric)
4. Select the anatomy of the lesion you are working on
5. Enter the value of the metric and click the "Calculate" button
You will be provided with a screen presenting the distribution of possible FFR values, the probability of a positive FFR and the probability of a negative FFR. Use the graphs below to better understand the FFR and probability distribution for the given lesion.
